Today I took the girls to the dentist. I have found a terrific pediatric dentist (and she's a woman!). The pictures aren't the best; they're from my phone.
The office is tailored to kids. There's a special kids' door to enter the office. In the lobby, there's a 2-story play house and a fish aquarium with Nemo and Dory. There are also two therapy dogs who hang out at the office. These dogs are there to help comfort any kid who is apprehensive about the dentist. My kids aren't scared of the dentist, they just like seeing the dogs. I took all the kids with me today, even though just the girls had appointments. We visited the dogs when we got there. Kaylen tried to give a dog a coaster. I'm not quite sure what she thought it would do with it. Logan loved brushing the dog. Lindsey tried to teach a dog a trick. Spencer got bored quickly.
Lindsey got x-rays, a cleaning, and an exam.
Kaylen got an exam since she's too young to sit still in the chair (at least the dentist's office thought so). She sat (laid) very still. Kaylen was very excited about going to the dentist. She also loved the new toothbrush and stickers.
Best of all....No Cavities!!

Looks like a fun dentist. It's sounds like Kaylen did a good job getting an exam. Emily cried the whole time and didn't cooperate much. It's a miracle that they finished. Maybe getting in a dentist earlier is a good thing.
