Eric's work trip was concluding, so we had a little bit of extra time before we had to head to the airport to fly home, so we visited a few places. Our first stop was at a lighthouse near the resort. (Lindsey had actually walked there when she did the 5k.) We all climbed up the stairs which were scary to some, and crammed into the top of the very hot lighthouse. We were able to look out and see the awesome view of the coast.
We then headed towards the coast to drive north. We found a beach and got out. We walked down the pier where we found a free aquarium. We went in and looked at all the fish in their dirty aquariums.
Our last stop was the Farmers Market on Fairfax and 3rd. I had been their as a child, and wanted to see how it compared to my memories now. It was still just as crazy as I remembered. Their was a new mall adjacent to the market, though. We ate some lunch there and got some ice cream before we headed into the traffic to get to the airport.
